In 1974, a hotline, called Emergency Pregnancy Services, was developed by a group of concerned citizens for the purpose of helping women in crisis pregnancy situations. EPS has grown to encompass three campuses with a full list of programs offered 5 days per week. EPS has remained a leader in the field of crisis pregnancy services, being the first to offer a full-time certified sonographer on staff and the first crisis center in Clay County. In these past thirty-four years, Emergency Pregnancy Services (EPS) has grown to become the preferred organization for women in crisis situations to make an informed decision. It is known throughout the community as a place where women and families can receive information, practical assistance, compassion, empathy and hope.
EPS provides all of their services at no cost to their clients. The services include; Health Services (such as Pregnancy Testing and Life Affirming Ultrasounds), Counseling (which includes Options Counseling, Post Abortion Healing, Maternal Issues, and Abstinence Education), Material Support (with items such as diapers, formula, cribs, nursery items, infant and children’s clothing, and maternity wear), and Adoption Advocacy (which allows a woman to explore adoption without pressure).
